Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you create an account we collect:

• Your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth)
• Your selected role (parent/guardian or coach)
• Information you choose to enter: children's first names, activity types, team names, and schedule events
• Your general location, only if you grant permission, used solely to calculate drive times and show local weather

We do not collect children's last names, photos, addresses, schools, or birth dates. Our Terms of Service explicitly ask users not to enter this information during beta.

2. How we use your information

We use your information only to provide the GamePlan service:

• To display your family's schedule and detect scheduling conflicts
• To calculate leave-by times based on your starting location
• To send schedule updates and notifications you've opted into
• To provide weather and radar information for upcoming events

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except the service providers needed to run the app (listed below).

3. Children's privacy (COPPA)

GamePlan is designed for parents, guardians, and coaches — not children. Children under 13 may not create an account. Children's information entered into the app (first names, activity schedules) is stored under the parent's or guardian's account and is used only to provide the scheduling service.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us at hello@gameplansports.com and we will delete the account promptly.

4. Third-party services

GamePlan uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
• OpenWeather — weather data for event locations
• Windy.com — radar display
• Vercel — web hosting

Each provider has its own privacy policy. We do not control how they handle data beyond what is required to use their services.

5. Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app. When you delete your account, your personal data and your children's schedule data are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security practices: encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and role-based access controls. During beta, we are continuously improving our security posture. No system is 100% secure — if you discover a vulnerability, please report it to hello@gameplansports.com.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. We'll notify you of material changes via the app or email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
